I Hear Footsteps On My Roof

My love will soon be here with me.

I hear footsteps on my roof.

Why did the rats move into the roof. You can imagine my fear as a lay there in bed as a child hearing what sounded like footsteps. Sometimes you might just have a medical condition due to which you tend to hear high pitched sounds. I ve occasionally woken up to what i thought were foot step.
